Weber Grill Covers
Can I use my grill after using a fire extinguisher on it, even if I then scrubbed it clean?
I have a Weber grill. It is my second one; the first one caught fire and so I used a fire extinguisher on it. Since it was covered with a layer of white chemical powder, I got a new one. Today, it happened again, but the grill is pretty new. Can I just replace the grill and flavorizer bars, scrub the rest and start grilling again? Or will those chemicals make the food unsafe or taste bad no matter how I clean it?
As long as you clean it and then burn the charcoal for awhile before you put any meat on it then it will be fine…the fire will burn any harmful chemicals off …..
Your grill is fine……people use ovens and stoves after using a fire extinguisher so a grill is no worse….
Nice to hear from you….hope all is well…hey by the way…my bites on my arm you helped me with, ended up turning into a full blown staff infection. It spread and I almost had to be admitted to the hospital. Thank goodness for your advice or I would have ignored it for a week or so…
